Most of the enquiries Evara receives through its enquiry forms come from a parent searching for a son or a daughter, not from the person who will marry. If you are that parent, this guide is written for you: it sets out the five decisions a family makes before the search starts, and what each route costs, so the time you give to it goes where it helps. Our matrimony statistics page holds the numbers behind that first sentence.
One honest note before the rest. No service can tell you when two suitable people and their families will choose to move forward. Compare what is included in writing, not a promised date.
Who should make the profile, you or your child
Either can, and the better answer is the one your son or daughter will actually keep up. A profile needs its photographs approved, its preferences kept current and its conversations answered, and the person who does that work should be the person who owns the login. On Evara there is no separate family login: one account, held by whoever runs it, and a parent can create and run the profile on a child’s behalf. Some of our members’ profiles are run by a parent or a sibling. What matters is that your child knows the profile exists, has read every word of it and agrees with the photographs chosen.
A profile written by a parent reads differently from one written by the person themselves, and families on the other side can tell. Ask your son or daughter to write the first draft in their own words, then add the family detail they may leave out: where the family lives, what the parents do, how the household observes. The marriage biodata guide covers what to include and what to keep back.
Whoever holds the login, the decision stays with the person marrying. Nobody should express interest in a profile or share a phone number in your child’s name without their knowledge.
Agree the criteria as a family before you start
Most arguments in a search are arguments that were never had at the start. Sit down once, before the first profile is sent, and write three short lists together: what is non-negotiable, what you would discuss, and what you have decided not to ask about. Community, diet, city, the shape of the household and whether the couple would live with the parents usually belong on the first list. Height, exact salary and the colour of a wedding usually belong on the third.
Then agree the roles. Who may suggest a profile. Who receives the updates. Who speaks to the other family first. Which details stay private until the two young people have spoken. Write these down, because a search that runs for months will test every one of them.
If the generations do not agree yet, that is normal and it is better found now. Our guide to family approval in modern matchmaking offers a structure for that conversation.
What a relationship manager does that an app cannot
A matrimony app shows you profiles and lets you message them. The work between the two, which is most of the work, stays with the family: reading each profile carefully, checking the claims that matter, making the first approach, following up when the other side goes quiet, arranging the first call and then the first meeting, and keeping your child’s privacy intact through all of it.
A relationship manager takes that work on. On Evara Select, one person who knows your family shortlists profiles to your preferences and makes regular, considered introductions. Your relationship manager adds a check of their own: a video call between our team and a family before you are introduced to them. Contact details are shared only when both families agree, and your relationship manager is with you at family meetings in Delhi NCR and on video call across India. Personalised matchmaking, guided by one person who knows your family.
Reserve adds a senior relationship manager who reviews each family personally, meetings arranged and coordinated by the Evara team, a professional portfolio photoshoot, and our team involved at every step through to a confirmed Roka. Senior-level matchmaking, with our team beside you until the Roka.
Evara Membership is the app route, and it is member-managed. Matches are selected around your child’s preferences and the family decides whom to approach and how each conversation proceeds. Membership does not include a dedicated matchmaker; Select, Reserve and Luxe are the services that include one.
How much to budget
Decide this before you compare services, because a price is only high or low against a number you have already agreed. Evara publishes its prices on this site, so you can compare before anyone calls you.
Membership is ₹999 a month, against the standard ₹2,999. Joining, the profile and verification are free. Free membership never runs out, and no payment is ever due. So a family that wants to manage the search itself can start without paying anything.
Select is ₹51,000 for 6 months, ₹75,000 for 12 months, or ₹1,00,000 until you are married, inclusive of GST.
Reserve is ₹2,51,000 in total, inclusive of GST, paid in two parts. The 12-month option is ₹1,11,000 to register and ₹1,40,000 at the Roka. The until-marriage option is ₹1,51,000 to register and ₹1,00,000 at the Roka.
The packages page puts the three routes side by side, and our guide to whether premium matchmaking is worth it sets out what a fee buys and what it cannot. Luxe is by invitation and its fee is not published.
Keeping the search discreet
Discretion needs a precise answer rather than a reassuring label. On Membership, who can see your child’s profile is this: Verified Evara members only. Not the public, and not search engines. Evara does not reveal a member’s email address, and a member’s phone number reaches another member only when both have said yes and its owner has chosen to share it.
On Select and Reserve, your family’s profile is taken out of what other members are shown while the plan is active, and introductions happen through your relationship manager. That is the route families choose when a colleague or a neighbour must not come across the profile by chance.
Within the family, discretion is a decision too. Agree who is told that the search is on, and agree that nobody outside that circle is sent a biodata without your child’s consent. A search that half the extended family knows about is harder on the person marrying than most parents expect.
What Evara checks, and what you still check
Evara reviews every profile before it goes live and approves profile photographs. A selfie check is required before a profile is shown to anyone, and it confirms only that the person matches the profile photographs; a government ID check, of name and photo, is separate and optional. Evara does not investigate income, education, employment or family background. Real people, verified by real people. That is the promise, and its limit is stated here on purpose.
The checks a family still runs itself, with consent and in the open, are set out in our guide to verifying a matrimony profile. On Select and Reserve the video verification of each family is part of what your relationship manager does for you.
Where to start
If your family wants to manage the search itself, begin with Membership and let your son or daughter write the profile. If you want one person carrying the search with you, compare Select and Reserve on the packages page, or speak to the team on WhatsApp at +91 93555 66533. Neither route promises a match or a fixed outcome date.
