Serving families across Rajasthan
Rajasthan is the largest state in India by area, and much of it is defined by the Thar, the great desert of the north-west, where cities grew up as caravan halts and princely capitals rather than around rivers. Its history runs through the old kingdoms, Marwar around Jodhpur, Mewar around Udaipur, the Kachhwaha country around Jaipur and Amber, and the desert seats of Bikaner and Jaisalmer, whose forts and havelis still stand over the modern towns. Ajmer, with the dargah of Moinuddin Chishti, and the lake town of Pushkar draw pilgrims from across the country.
Those old regions still shape family identity and marriage. A Marwari family from Jodhpur, a Mewari family from Udaipur, and a family from the Jaipur belt carry different dialects, customs, and marriage traditions even when they belong to the same wider community. Rajasthan is also the source of one of India’s most widespread mercantile diasporas: families rooted in Marwar and Shekhawati who, over generations, settled in Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, and across the country while keeping ties, festivals, and marriage networks running back to the desert. For many families here, a good match is understood partly through where a family comes from and how it has kept those ties.
The real difficulty for serious Rajasthani families is rarely a shortage of profiles. It is trust, and finding genuinely compatible people who share a family’s region, community, and values. That is the work Evara has done since 2009, matching families within their community and region and, where they wish, across the state, the diaspora, and the wider country. No family is above or below another in that work; region and community are matters of identity and family history, never of rank.
Built for how Rajasthani families match
A family in Rajasthan wants a match who fits its region, its community, and its world, and whom it will genuinely welcome. Our matchmaking is built around exactly that.
Marwar, Mewar, the Jaipur belt, and the desert districts each carry their own dialects and customs. We match within your region where that matters to your family, or across the state when you are open to it.
Rajasthan holds many communities, including Rajput, Marwari, Agrawal, Maheshwari, Oswal, Brahmin, and Jain families. We take community, sub-community, and gotra into account as matters of identity and family history, and match within or across them as you wish.
Every profile is reviewed by our team and must be complete before it can browse or be browsed. On personalised plans a matchmaker curates each introduction rather than leaving you to a search box.
Many Rajasthani families have relatives settled in Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, and beyond, and match across that network. We search back to the home region and out across the diaspora as a family prefers.
In tight community and town networks, word travels quickly. Your details are shared only with your explicit approval and are never listed publicly.
A single matchmaker learns your family, your region, and your expectations, and stays with you through introductions, meetings, and the conversations that follow.
From Marwar to Mewar and the Thar
Jaipur, the Pink City and the capital, anchors the east of the state, its walled old city now a World Heritage Site. To the west lies Marwar, whose historic capital Jodhpur, the Blue City, stands below the Mehrangarh Fort, and further west the desert seats of Bikaner, founded by Rao Bika in the fifteenth century, and Jaisalmer. Southward, Mewar centres on Udaipur, known for its lakes and palaces, near the great hill forts of Chittorgarh and Kumbhalgarh.
Kota, on the Chambal in the south-east, is a major educational and industrial city, and Ajmer, with the Chishti dargah and neighbouring Pushkar, sits near the centre of the state. Each region carries its own marriage customs and dialect, and many families keep ties to relatives who left the desert generations ago for trade elsewhere in India. We serve families across all of it, matching within a region or across the state and diaspora as a family prefers.
Finding a life partner across Rajasthan
Most Rajasthani families begin with relatives, community elders, a traditional go-between, and a few apps full of unverified profiles. Across a state this large and a diaspora this scattered, that mix produces a great deal of effort and very few genuinely suitable introductions, especially when a family wants a match rooted in its own region and community.
Evara starts with a conversation rather than a form. We sit with your family to understand your region and community, whether gotra or specific customs apply, dietary and lifestyle preferences, the cities and regions you are open to, and the things that quietly decide compatibility for you. A matchmaker then presents a small number of curated introductions, each with our reasoning, and coordinates meetings when interest is mutual. Because we do not keep an office in every city of Rajasthan, we work with most families over video and in person when we travel, and we arrange family meetings at a venue that suits both sides. Distance shapes the logistics of a meeting, never the care we bring to the match.

Rajasthan Matrimony FAQs
Which parts of Rajasthan do you serve?+
All of it. We work with families across Marwar, including Jodhpur and Bikaner, across Mewar around Udaipur, in the Jaipur belt, in Kota, and in Ajmer, as well as with Rajasthani families settled elsewhere in India. We match within a region when that matters to a family and across the state when a family is open to it.
Do you have an office in Rajasthan?+
Our office is in Delhi NCR, a short journey from Jaipur along the Delhi-Jaipur corridor. We do not keep an office in every city of the state, so we work with most families over video and in person when we travel, and we arrange family meetings at a venue convenient for both sides.
Do you understand the different Rajasthani communities and regions?+
Yes. Rajasthan holds Rajput, Marwari, Agrawal, Maheshwari, Oswal, Brahmin, Jain, and many other communities, and a Marwar family, a Mewar family, and a Jaipur-belt family often carry different customs and dialects even within the same wider community. We treat community, sub-community, and gotra as matters of identity and family history, and match accordingly. No family is above or below another.
Our family is Marwari but settled outside Rajasthan. Can you help?+
Very often, yes. The Marwari diaspora is one of the most widespread in India, with families rooted in Marwar and Shekhawati who settled in Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, and across the country while keeping ties back to the desert. We match within that network, back to the home region, and across the wider country as a family prefers.
Can you match a Rajasthani family with someone outside the state or abroad?+
Yes. Many families want a match rooted in their home region, and many want to look toward Delhi, other Indian metros, the Marwari diaspora, or families abroad where children now study and work. We match within the state, across the country, and with the diaspora.
How do you protect our privacy?+
Nothing about your search is public on Evara. A profile is shown to another family only with your explicit approval, and we never list details publicly. In the close community and town circles of Rajasthan and its diaspora, that discretion is central to how we work.
