From the coast to the north
Southern interior Karnataka is anchored by Bengaluru, the state capital and India’s information technology hub, and by Mysuru, the old royal city known for the Dasara festival. This is the most cosmopolitan part of the state, where long-settled Kannada families live alongside professionals who have arrived from every corner of the country.
